Communication products about EVOLTREE and its scientific activities are produced regularly and made available in this website.

The following products have been designed and made available to the partners and are being posted online:

• a folded leaflet with a presentation of the project for the general public; a good number of copies has been printed and distributed to 44 partners (also those forming small consortia within the network) for their use in public awareness initiatives. The PDF is available online;
  
  
• a Power Point presentation with a general description of project’s objective and activities;
  
  
• a template for a public awareness poster. The general template is available online. It can be modified and adapted for different events and translated in different languages by partners;
  
  
• an external newsletter, to be released at least twice a year. The preparation of the external newsletter is based on the information gathered from the members of the network though the internal monthly newsletter, a concise and simple document which has the purpose of keeping up to date the scientific community involved in EVOLTREE activities.

Interaction with the stakeholders

Policy-makers are one of the main targets of the public awareness campaign. A group of participants has been identified and an electronic discussion is contributing to defining a list of topics of common interest for the scientist community and the stakeholders. These topics are debated in occasion of roundtable discussions organized back-to-back with annual project meetings taking place in early February of each year. These occasions offer an opportunity for stakeholders and scientists to review the scientific basis of forest management and to discuss the policy implication of the EVOLTREE’s activities. The roundtable discussions will soon generate brief policy reports, to be found the EVOLTREE website.

Communication with the press

Press conferences and press releases are organized in occasion of major events linked with the network and in occasion of the annual meetings of EVOLTREE. Articles and short communications that have appeared in the media are being collected into a general repository, called EVOLTREE in the press.
