Workshop: Response to abiotic and biotic stresses
From Monday, 22. September 2008 -  09:00
To Friday, 26. September 2008 - 17:00

This course is offered within SEA 1.4, but is open also for PhD students within EVOLTREE. It is organised by the Technische Universität München in cooperation with the Helmholtz-Zentrum München (P15).

Within a total of 5 days, lectures and lab courses are scheduled for 4 days and completed by a one day field trip in order to assess current threats of forest ecosystems (exemplified by mass infestations of insects) and to discuss protective measures.

The course addresses the verification of stress response at a scale from genes to landscapes with main emphasis on selected genomic, proteomic and metabolomic parameters, and with inclusion of abiotic and biotic stresses.
