Ancient DNA is a fast-developing field. We will review recent projects and progress
with animal and plant DNA from genetic and palaeoecological viewpoints. A practical
focus will compare sampling techniques, discuss preservation issues and examine
laboratory protocols. The development of new tools for sampling aDNA and plans for
future collaborative research will also be covered.
The workshop on Ancient DNA takes place in the best mountain landscapes of England in Lake District, UK.
