ETNA School on Plant Phenotyping

The ETNA School and the EPSO workshop are organised by Ulrich Schurr and his team at the Jülich Forschungszentrum in Germany, accompanied by François Tardieu (INRA).

The ETNA School is following the EPSO workshop and aims to provide lecture-based foundation of state-of-the art phenotyping technologies, direct discussion of course participants with leading scientists applying and developing plant phenotyping, hand-on experience with advanced phenotyping technologies and installations, and introduction to novel concepts on plant phenotyping.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Plant cultivation
  • Analysis of leaf, root, and plant growth
  • Measuring and Imaging photosynthesis sensing
  • Hyperspectral imaging and remote sensing
  • NMR-imaging
  • Microwave resonator

This school is addressed mainly to PhD students and is limited to 20 participants.

The registration fee is € 300 with a reduced fee of € 150 for participants from new EU Member States. Registration can be done online before October 11th.
